Service Notice: Fibre disruption in George due to Civil Works in the area
We’d like to inform our customers in George that we are aware some residents have experienced service interruptions recently. These are linked to civil infrastructure upgrades currently taking place across various parts of the area.
These projects include road rehabilitation, expansions, and general upgrades, which are part of broader efforts to improve roads and other public infrastructure. In the process of improvements live fibre infrastructure is sometimes accidentally damaged. This can lead to temporary loss of internet services for affected households.
We want to assure our customers that:
We are actively monitoring the situation and working to restore any affected services as quickly as possible.
Our teams respond swiftly to outages and are working behind the scenes to prevent major service disruptions where possible.
We are engaging relevant stakeholders to better understand the scope and timing of the municipal works.
Although we do not yet have a detailed schedule of the works, we are doing everything we can to stay informed and proactive. If disruptions occur, we will do our best to communicate clearly and restore services with minimal delay.
